Why do we want to roast coffee ourselves?

WINB coffee roaster machine can roast 750 grams (1.65lb/26.45 ounces) coffee beans in 25 minutes. The recommended optimum baking quantity is: 300-350g
- 1. Do not bake sesame or rice, and do not bake peanuts with shells.

First BurstGreen coffee beans contain 10% water, and when the roasting begins, this water will first come out of the coffee beans, so this first stage is called: "dehydration". As the temperature rises, you will hear sporadic crackles, and we call this phase: "first burst." At this point the coffee bean color is light brown. |
Second BurstAfter the first explosion, the temperature is about 200C, and then as the heating temperature increases, the color of the coffee beans also becomes darker. When the temperature reaches 230 ° C, the coffee beans will make another popping sound, which is: "Second Burst". The second Burst sound is low and the frequency is high. At the same time, the membrane on the coffee bean's surface will peel off. |
Deep roastThe second blast is followed by the deep roasting phase, when the beans turn glossy black and emit a lot of smoke. If you want to do an extremely deep roast, then raise the temperature to 240C, when the beans are almost black and look very greasy. |
Forced coolingThe last part of the baking process is forced cooling! The easiest way to screen out the residue is to use a hair dryer to blow away the remaining skin. Never allow coffee beans to cool naturally, or they will taste poor. Consider using a sieve mesh for cooling. |
